This card uses is a favorite go-to layout.  I’ve been using it quite a bit lately.  Check out the previous posts: Grateful Design, "H" is for... and "O" is for…  As you can see, I really love this layout!

I used Apricot Appeal (a color I never use), Chocolate Chip and Certainly Celery.  The DSP is from the retired Patterns Pack II.  The flower is two Scallop Circle punches that I cut between each scallop to create ‘petals’.  The apricot flower center is the large flower from the Boho Blossoms punch.  The brad was found at a local scrapbook store.  The Little Leaves Sizzlits Die has seen plenty of use lately.  Along with the Top Note Die too.  The sentiment is from All Holidays and can be used for just about any occasion.  I think the Chocolate Chip Double Stitched ribbon pulls it all together.

Thanks for stopping in today!  I hope you’ve been inspired to create something in appreciation.

Reminder… Next week is National Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week!  Be sure to show them your appreciation for all they do for you and your children!

Hugs,

Vrooommm……

100_0364

This card was special made for the little guy across the street.  He just turned four.  When I asked him what he wanted on his card, he gave me a resounding “Race Cars”!  I said, “I can do that!”  The base card is Real Red.  I used the Extreme Elements set for the background, stamped in VersaMark, Basic Black and Whisper White.  The car, from the long retired To The Finish, was stamped on the base and then again in Naturals White, colored with an Aqua Painter and Classic Inks and then cut out and adhered to the base with Dimensionals.  The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.  The star and oval punches are finished off with a Real Red brad.

Thanks for looking!  I’ve been in super mom mode for a couple of weeks and the super nice weather has me outside and working in the flower beds.  I love this time of year!  Of course, there is soccer and baseball ball games and practices to attend.  I’ve got my nose into the Twilight saga too (finally).  I can’t put it down.  I have the last book yet to go.  I hope you have a fabulous day!

Hugs,

When Mom’s Happy…

…we’re all happy!

I know I’ve been the not-so-great-blogger.  BUT!  I feel like I’ve been a pretty great Mom this week!  And that’s the best feeling!  It makes me happy!  The boys are on Spring Break and I’ve neglected ignored every job and chore and anything that resembles work…just to spend time with them.  And it’s been a lot of fun!!  Getting back into a routine is really going to be difficult.  I feel like I should play more PS3 while they’re at school.  I might be able to hang with them a little more then…hmm…then again, maybe not.  But it was fun trying anyway.  We hit the beach, rode the mini bike, flew kites, rode bikes and played ball!  We also washed the cars…just in time for ALL the pollen to cover everything…including inside the house because I’m lovin’ this weather too much to close the windows and turn on the A/C!  I’ve been playing in the flower beds while we’ve been outside.  So, there is some progress going on.

Anyway, I made these adorable little guys before Easter to hand out to the guys that work with my husband.  I made a similar version for the ladies that help me with the PTA Labels committee.  They are made using the Ghiradelli chocolate squares, Naturals White and Pink Pirouette card stock, the large and small oval punches, 3/4” circle, Scallop circle, Word Window, Boho Blossoms and Heart to Heart punches.  A Basic Black marker draws in the details (whiskers, eyes and buck teeth).  His cute little bunny tail has Dimensionals between each flower.

They all loved their little handmade goodie!  I find that in most cases, at least in the circles that I run in, it’s not how big or expensive the item is.  It’s the simple fact that you took the time to do something for them at all.  That makes me happy!

I  hope you’ve been happily inspired in some way.

Hugs,
